New Director Joins The Team

The Paddock Project are so pleased to announce that Emma Morris, the former Executive Director of Towner Art Gallery in Eastbourne, will be joining the team next month as our Director. With over 20 years’ experience in executive roles for national visual art organisations Emma will be bringing to the project a wealth of expertise and vision.

Emma commented: “I am delighted to be appointed as the Director of this exciting and ambitious project. Passionate about the role of art and creativity in our lives, I look forward to working with the Trustees in establishing The Paddock Project as a world class gallery, attracting audiences from near and far and ensuring it becomes the social hub for the community, offering a diverse and engaging programme of activities for all ages.”

Sir Robert Fry, Chairman of SAT (Sherborne Arts Trust), who are behind The Paddock Project said: “Emma was the stand out candidate in a strong field of applicants for the job of Director of The Paddock Project. She brings a wealth of experience, real drive and the intention to make Sherborne her home so that she might be part of the community she hopes to serve.”

Emma will be involved in all aspects of the Paddock Project going forward, promoting the project as widely as possible with the local community, as well as working with our professional team on the planning application and the Town Council on the arrangements for Paddock Garden.
